Halloweenie TBR|| 2021.

Booooo!

Happy October! It’s my favorite month of the year! I love all things Halloween, Fall, and Spooky. It’s also my favorite time of year because I get to come up with a fun Halloween themed list of books that I want to read throughout the month of October! I do this every year whether I get around to reading them or not. I always go a bit ambitious when I make it, so I always have at least 10 books (some years more) on my list. I’m not sure how it will go this year as it seems this year I haven’t been reading as much as I usually do. My TBR may change up a little bit since I’m a mood reader and I might throw in some audiobooks that go along with the season as well. We shall see! Here are the books I added to my Halloweenie TBR this year! πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸ’€

wytchesthirteenshideandseekertakingofjakecemeteryboys

Wytches by Scott Snyder
Thirteens by Kate Alice Marshall
Hide and Seeker by Daka Hermon
The Taking of Jake Livingston by Ryan Douglass
Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas

Lost in the Never Woods by Aiden Thomas
When Villains Rise by Rebecca Schaeffer (ARC)
Scream All Night
by Derek Milman
Lakesedge by Lyndall Clipstone (ARC)
Bad Girls Never Say Die by Jennifer Mathieu (ARC)

I am really excited about my Halloweenie TBR this year. I think I have a good mix of books that will be spooky and fun to read. Wytches is a graphic novel, so I am really stoked about that. I like trying to find at least one graphic novel to fit into my Halloweenie TBR each year, because it’s cool to see creepy fun illustrations too. I also included a few ARCs that I was sent on Netgalley to review and they seem to fit well in my TBRl. I do own a hardcover copy of When Villains Rise, but it was sent to me on Netgalley last year and I didn’t get the chance to read and review it before the year ended, so I finally want to read it and get my review up. It’s the final book in the Market of Monsters trilogy, which so far I absolutely LOVE.

Have you read any of the books on my October TBR? What do you plan to read in October?

I bought some new bookmarks this year to use for while reading my books throughout the month that are perfect for Fall and Halloween. πŸ˜€ I also have a ton from previous years too, so I am all set on a spooky TBR and bookmarks to go with it! ❀

Halloweenie TBR.

Booooo!

Happy October! It’s my favorite month of the year! I love all things Halloween, Fall, and Spooky. I’ve started decorating my house with cute and spooky Halloween decorations, which I am so stoked about! I love seeing pumpkins and skeletons all over my house. This hasn’t been my greatest reading year as I’m sure you guys have seen me say over and over again. And with that being said, I’m not really sure how October is going to turn out for me, but I am still sharing with you a Halloweenie TBR of the books that I really hope to read in October. But first, check out my mini Halloween “Christmas” tree.

I always make this big Halloween themed TBR every year whether I get around to reading them or not; it’s fun to create them! I am going to include 10 books on my TBR for this month and that is being really ambition considering it seems that I can barely read a couple books a month this year. But maybe being in my favorite month will hype me up to read ALL THE SPOOKY THINGS! Here is what I have on my Halloweenie TBR…

None Shall Sleep by Ellie Marney
Halloween Season by Lucy A. Snyder
Beetle & the Hollowbones byAliza Layne
Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare
Scream All Night by Derek Milman

The Bone Houses byΒ Emily Lloyd-Jones
Frankenstein byΒ Mary Shelley
The Suffering by Rin Chupeco
Only Ashes Remain byΒ Rebecca Schaeffer
When Villains Rise byΒ Rebecca Schaeffer

I’m sure there are going to be some spooky audiobooks that I’ll listen to throughout the month as well, but I’m not exactly sure what they will be yet. It really just depends on what my library as available at the moment. So, those will be a surprise you’ll have to wait to find out. πŸ˜› And this TBR may change depending on my mood and there’s a couple other books I’m eyeing and may possibly buy, but if all goes well then I hope to read most of these books this month.

Have you read any of the books on my October TBR? What do you plan to read in October?

I still have to post my September book haul and that will probably be up on the blog on Monday. I also need to reply to your comments and blog hop again. I’ll be doing that soon too. πŸ™‚

March TBR (Maybe).

sociallyawkwardbookwormorange

Hey!

Today is my birthday!! And today I am bringing you a TBR. You probably already know I don’t usually make TBRs because sticking to them is hard for me. I thought I would again this month because I think I might actually stick to this one? I didn’t do too bad with my February TBR. I didn’t read every single book on that list, but I didn’t stray from it and the ones I did read were on the list. So why not try again in March? Here is what my March TBR looks like…maybe. Things may change, who knows because I’m a mood reader. All titles linked to Goodreads.

littleuniversesthesilenceofbonesadmission

Little Universes by Heather Demetrios (Release Date: 4/7/2020)
The Silence of Bones by Jun Hur (Release Date: 4/21/2020)
Admission by Julie Buxbaum (Release Date: 5/5/2020)

I’ll start off with a few ARCs that I am hoping to read this month. Two are April releases and one is an early May release. I am really excited about all three of these, especially the new Julie Buxbaum book. Hopefully I’ll get these read and reviewed this month.

starryeyeswildatheartinfinitysonalice

Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett
Wild at Heart by K.A. Tucker
Infinity Son by Adam Silvera
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

I didn’t get the chance to read Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland last month, so I want to try again this month. I got a new version of it with some pretty cool illustrations, so I’ve been wanting to reread it. I’m finally reading Starry Eyes after wanting to read it since 2018! I am currently reading it now and so far I like it. I am so stoked about Wild at Heart and Infinity Son.

I am kind of stoked about this TBR. I think I have a pretty great selection of books to choose from. I have to try to read as much as possible as soon as possible though, because Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Nintendo Switch is coming out on March 20th; so goodbye to my real life and hello to my AC fictional life. πŸ˜› I am pretty confident that it will take over my life for quite a while and I am sooooo ready for it.

What is on your March TBR? Have you read any of the books on my list? Let me know and feel free to link me to your posts if you have one!

February TBR (Maybe).

sociallyawkwardbookwormorange

Hey!

Is it really February 1st already? I actually don’t mind it though, because I was getting tired of January. It’s also one month closer to my birthday (March 3) and stores are starting to put out Easter candy, which is exciting because I love Cadbury Mini Eggs haha. So I made a TBR for this month. I don’t normally make TBRs, because I have a bad track record with actually sticking to them. I thought I would this month, because I actually have a lot of books that I really want to read as soon as possible. Here is what my February TBR looks like. It’s quite ambitious, but I am hoping to at least read all the books on my priority list and then hopefully have time for the others. All titles linked to Goodreads.

Priority:

luckycallerintheshadowgirlswithrazorheartsdragonhoopsdarlingrosegold2

Lucky Caller by Emma Mills (released in January)
In the Shadow of the Sun by EM Castellan (releasing Feb 11)
Girls with Razor Hearts by Suzanne YoungΒ (releasing March 17)
Dragon Hoops by Gene Luen Yang (releasing March 17)
Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel (releasing March 17)

My priority is of course the ARCs. I didn’t get the chance to read Lucky Caller last month, so I am hoping to read it this month. I am also trying to stay on top of my ARCs, so I want to try to read my March releases this month as well. I am really excited about them all. I started the month off with Darling Rose Gold and so far it’s pretty interesting. I’m not that far into it though. It reminds me of the Gypsy Rose Blanchard case (a TV show was created on Hulu called The Act based off that case as well), which I am sure that’s what it’s based off of. But this seems to be a different story in that the mother was sent to prison instead of being murdered (like the real life story of Gypsy). But who knows what will happen in this book! If all goes well with this TBR, then you should see reviews for all of these books throughout the month.

Not A Priority:

aliceheartstopper3thetollOne of Us is Next FINAL cover.indd

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
Heartstopper: Volume Three byΒ  Alice Oseman
The Toll by Neal Shusterman
One of Us Is Next by Karen M. McManus

These books are not super priority, but I hope to read them too. I’ll probably go for these if I need a break from ARCs or if I finish all of my ARCs. I am super excited to read them. I got a really cool edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland last month, so I want to reread the story with the edition I got so I can look at all the illustrations as I read it. My library hold for Once of Us Is Next says “available soon” so I am sure that will come in at some point this month. Realistically, I will probably drop everything I have to read Heartstopper once it gets delivered to me haha.

What is on your February TBR? Let me know and feel free to link me to your posts if you have one!

I have a few things planned for the weekend. Today I may go Pokemon hunting with my sister and her boyfriend. It’s raining right now though, so it might not happen. Tomorrow I am hanging out with my friend and then we are going to one of those painting classes. They are doing a Baby Yoda (The Child) painting class and we love him, so we’ll be going to that and hopefully painting a decent picture of him HAHA. I am not good at painting at all, but it’ll be fun. Another thing that I hope to do this weekend is finally take down our Christmas tree. We’ve just been busy in January and never got around to it.Β  I think it’s finally time, haha. I’ll catch up with your posts and reply to comments at some point over the weekend too.

December TBR.

sociallyawkwardbookwormorange

Hey!

The last two months I did really good with sticking to my monthly TBR created for each month (October & November), so I decided to go ahead and try one last time with a December TBR. There are so many books that I swore I would finally get to this year and sadly, I have not.Β I want to say I’ll try in December, but realistically that probably won’t happen because I have quite a few ARCs that I need to read. I created a reading challenge for next year to hopefully tackle those books that I swore I would finally read and didn’t. I’ll talk more about that and those books later at the end of the month or beginning of January.

As always, this may not end up being my final TBR or all the books that I end up reading. I have some books on hold at my library that I’ve been waiting FOREVER for, so if those get checked out to me then I will most likely read those first. Also, depends on my mood if I end up reading something else not listed. With that being said, here is my December TBR.

Physical Books:

thenextpersonlonelydeadfamousinasmalltowntheextinctiontrials

The Next Person You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom (ARC)
The Lonely Dead by April Henry (ARC)
Famous in a Small Town by Emma Mills (ARC)
The Extinction Trials by S.M. Wilson (Buddy Read)

I have quite a few ARCs as you can see that I need to try to get to this month, so I can get my reviews up. The Next Person You Meet in Heaven was already released, but the others are January releases. I am also going to be buddy reading The Extinction Trials with Avery (Red Rocket Panda), which I am stoked for!

E-Books:

thelostsistersthewickedkinghatinggamewhatifitsusmynewcrushgavetome

The Lost Sisters by Holly Black
The Wicked King by Holly Black (eARC)
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne (library)
What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli/Adam Silver (library)
My New Crush Gave to Me by Shani Petroff

I am so stoked for The Wicked King. I am hoping to have time to reread The Cruel Prince before I read the sequel, but if not, it’s alright. There’s also a few other e-books that I own that I hope/want to read, but I’m not going to list them in case I don’t get to them. These are pretty much my top priority right now as some are library books and I may have a couple other library books that get checked out to me later this month. I am actually currently reading What If It’s Us now and it’s so good. I am really enjoying it a lot. It’s so hard to put down!

What’s on your December TBR? Have you read any of the ones on mine? Feel free to link me to your posts if you have one.

Unofficial November TBR.

novembertbr

Hello!

I did really well with my Halloweenie TBR last month, so I decided to throw together a TBR list for November. I, of course, can’t make any promises that I’ll read these books but I hope I do. I’m pretty limited with the physical books that I can read since most of my books are packed away, so these are all books that I got in the last few months that are not packed yet. A couple of them are ARCs that I hope to read this month and get my reviews up. I will also be reading e-books as well, but not listed in this TBR post because I’m not sure which ones I’ll be reading. All depends on what I’m in the mood for and if my library e-book holds get checked out to me this month or not. So we’ll called this my “Unofficial November TBR”, because it can change. Anyway, here is some of the books that I hope to read this month.

andtheoceanspeakpeoplekillpeople

And the Ocean Was Our Sky by Patrick Ness
Speak: The Graphic Novel by Laurie Halse Anderson
People Kill People by Ellen Hopkins

Wilder by Andrew Simonet (ARC)
