Hello April.

Hey, sadly I come to you guys with some sad news. I’m done blogging forever. It was a very difficult decision. I’ll truly miss you guys! 😦 I decided to sit in a corner for the rest of my life with my favorite books and a stack of pizza. It’s been so much fun blogging and getting to know you all, but I have to choose blogging or pizza. Pizza wins of course! Don’t take it personally, because you all are so great, BUT PIZZA THOUGH!

APRIL FOOLS!!!!

I would never quit blogging, but I mean pizza is amazing though. It forever has a “pizza my heart” 😛 but so does blogging and you guys!

I’m here to share my April TBR with you. I’m kind of against TBRs, but I ended up having one this month. I don’t know how accurate it will be throughout the month, because I kind of suck at sticking to them. We’ll see though. I am really excited about reading all of these books, so it should be fine. You can check out my March wrap up post over here. Here is my April TBR:

Seveneves by Neal Stephenson
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner
A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro

I started Seveneves in March and I am dying to read it. I didn’t get that far into it, but it’s so good already. Here’s a little snippet from the description: “A catastrophic event renders the earth a ticking time bomb. In a feverish race against the inevitable, nations around the globe band together to devise an ambitious plan to ensure the survival of humanity far beyond our atmosphere, in outer space.” One of my friend’s read it and rated it 5 stars and she’s a VERY tough rater! She also told me about some of the things that happened, which made me really want to read it for myself. So I am a little spoiled with what happens in the middle of the book, but OMG what she told me was totally awesome! STOKED FOR THIS ONE!

I’ve seen amazing things about The Serpent King, so I am hoping that I love it. My track record with loving hyped books hasn’t been the greatest. I usually end up not liking them. I decided I would read it this month, because I told myself I wouldn’t buy any new books unless I planned to read them right away. I’m hoping to buddy read A Study in Charlotte with my bestie Tammy from The Art of Failing. We are both Sherlock Holmes fans. I pulled The Darkest Minds out of my TBR jar, so that’s a must. I’ve also been wanting to read it for YEARS, so it is finally happening! I want to try to do at least one TBR jar pick a month. I would love for it to be more, but definitely one a month.

The New Guy and Other Senior Year Distractions by Amy Spalding

I forgot to include this in my picture above, but I also still need to finish and review The New Guy, so I will be trying to do that this month as well. I was sent an ARC and it’ll be released next week. I definitely need (and want) to read and review it though, because I was kindly sent the ARC.

Have you read any of these books? What do you plan to read this month? Let me know and if you have any TBR posts link me, so I can check them out!

OH YEAH! Check out this cool new Harry Potter Funko I got! SORTING HAT!

  1. I was about to CRY, YOU ARE CRUEL ASHLEY. Haha, but yes, pizza rules 😛 And you totally got me with that one 😛
As always, I can’t wait to know your thoughts on those, books, especially A Study in Charlotte, I’ve been hearing mixed reviews about that one 🙂 And that Funko, I am SO jealous ahah!

    • Hahah SORRY! 😛 Pizza is the best, but so is blogging! I’ve been trying to stay away from reviews of A Study in Charlotte, so I can read it without having to have the influence of others LOL.

  2. Lol! I am terrible at making TBR’s for the month. I never stick to them – wish I did! Good luck! I also get disappointed by hype most of the time, but I’ve heard Serpent King is worth it. Enjoy!

    • I wish I could stick to them too. I always feel pressured to read them because I said I would. So then I don’t enjoy them as much as I probably would if I didn’t force myself to read them when I’m not in the mood for them lol. Sigh. Hopefully that doesn’t happen this time. 🙂

  3. You had me fooled for a second! I’m glad it was only April fools. 😉 I have been wanting to read The Darkest Minds forever as well! Hopefully I will be able to soon… I promised myself to start two other series first though. I have A Study Of Charlotte high on my TBR as well and I’m hoping to get to it in May. Anything Sherlock Holmes should be good. 😉 I hope you’ll enjoy your books this month!

    • Lots of people have been fooled by my joke lol. 😛 I’ve had The Darkest Minds on my TBR forever, so finally going to read it. I’m hoping A Study in Charlotte is really good. I’ve been trying to stay away from reviews and ratings, so I don’t get influenced by them while I read it lol.

  4. Omg you had me like… But, why???!! hahaha I still haven’t got my march Owlcrate (the cons of living in Aus) so I haven’t got a copy of Serpent King yet but everyone seems to be loving it! Good luck with you TBR!

    • hahah 😛 I hope you get your OwlCrate soon. I seen a lot of pictures of other people’s owlcrate and they looked awesome. I cancelled my subscription last month. I’ve seen a lot of awesome things about The Serpent King and I hope I love it too! 🙂
